Mojca Fortin

Mojca Fortin started learning violin at the age of five at the Tartini Musical Studio with Sidika Smajlović-Bravničar, where she gained her elementary and secondary musical education. In addition to music school, she attended the Poljane Upper Secondary School, where she successfully graduated in 2007. Concluding her violin studies at the Academy of Music Ljubljana, she graduated with excellence in the class of Prof. Dejan Bravničar in 2012.

During her studies, she received many awards at national and international competitions and attended numerous seminars and masterclasses with esteemed violinists, such as V. Smailović-Huart, E. Chugayeva, G. Turchaninova, A. Stankov, V. Szabadi and others.

She played many solo recitals in concert cycles of the Ljubljana Musical Youth and Academy of Music Ljubljana, however, it was her performance representing the Academy of Music Ljubljana at the 21. Franjo Krežma Memorial in Osijek (Croatia) that earned her a Prešeren Award for students of the Academy of Music Ljubljana in 2011.

She has been a member of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra since 2012.
